As one philosophical saying goes, if you want to analyse the future prospect of an ideal state or society and gauge whether it will flourish, then analyse their offspring. The growth of the offspring, how they cope, reacts and adapts to different evolving time changes tells a lot about their future.

 

That’s why the recent report about teenager’s sexual irresponsible activity sent shock waves among the Kenyan’s.

Straight to the point- for a couple of years Kenya’s Rift Valley Province has acted like an active volcano which erupts at certain times of the year due to the high exertation of high incitements beneath this. The cyclone of tribal clashes has swept across the province’s bed for most umpteenth times, of which it culminated into one of the violent, heinous and devious tribal clashes after 2007 elections. After the signing of the National accord it was decided that the solutions of this predicaments must be resolved.

Any smoke of disquest emanating from the province or a mere mention of a likelihood of clashes sheds cold shivers down the spine of many especially those who have been affected or to those who are been regarded as outsiders of that province.

To any ambitious civil servant the dream of been a chief executive of a government institution or a state corporation do does ring a bell in one of his achievements. Heading a state corporation or any other key government institution is a dream job of any career civil servant and it’s regarded as a big honour and reward for the well done job.

But this turns out to be wishful thinking and a pipe dream because these jobs are total reserves to the very influential and politically well connected figures who are ready to the play ball of the elites. These plum jobs acts as rewards for political patronages to the ruling political elite cronies, behest as political power barons. And, according to rumours which make rounds in the inner circles [+]

According to Government spokesman, Dr. Alfred Mutua, while responding to American Government’s threats letters, he said that, we are not going to engage in activism diplomacy. We are not a colony. We work with friends; we don’t work with people who threaten us. And you can ban the whole country from going to U.S.A but that will not stop us from continuing with our reform agenda.

He further said that, we are running through the reform agenda for the country and not to please anyone. We are not going to stomach threats, intimidation for our internal affairs.
